Chocolate Heaven

Mason's out on business this week. I'm bored. So I cook, I eat, and I watch embarrassing chick flicks. And this is what I had for dinner last night:
So what if I ate the entire pan in one sitting? I call it a magic trick.
They're called Indoor S'mores. Oh. They are heaven I tell you. Chocolaty, melt in your mouth, go into a food coma heaven. So here's the recipe:
2/3 c. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. milk chocolate morsels
1 tsp. vanilla
8 c. Golden Graham cereal
3 c. miniature marshmallows

Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Heat syrup, butter and chocolate morsels to boiling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour over cereal in bowl, toss until coated. Fold in marshmallows, 1 cup at a time. Press into a buttered pan with the back of a large, buttered spoon.
You're supposed to let it stand for an hour before you cut into 2 inch squares. But I dig in immediately.

Tonight I had Chinese. The food was gone before I could take pictures.

Lol, you crack me up Krista... I hope Mason's enjoying his being out of town (besides missing you, of course) but he really missed out on the treats.

I will have to give this recipe a try. I wonder how it would be to omit the corn syrup and just melt the marshmallows or use marshmallow fluff--I like those better! :)
